Dr. Christopher Lenarz completed his medical school at the Medical College of Wisconsin in 2004 and came to Saint Louis to begin his residency in Orthopedic Surgery at Saint Louis University. He immediately fell in love with Saint Louis. It offered a friendly community with a good midwestern personality. While completing his residency Dr. Christopher Lenarz had extensive exposure and training in general orthopedics including complex fracture care, spinal care and global sports medicine. This gave him the knowledge and skills to expertly manage fractures of the upper and lower extremity as well as perform knee arthroscopy and tendon repairs. After completion of his residency at Saint Louis University, Dr. Christopher Lenarz moved to Cleveland Ohio to complete a one-year Fellowship in Shoulder and Elbow surgery. As the sole fellow, Dr. Christopher Lenarz had the focused training and tutelage of three nationally and internationally renowned shoulder and elbow surgeons. This included a high volume of both arthroscopic and open surgeries including acute sports injuries, work injuries, chronic conditions and complex/revision surgeries. Additionally, during his Fellowship he had the privilege of traveling to France to learn, participate and operate in an international shoulder meeting (Annecy Live Surgery International Shoulder Advanced Course).

Dr. Christopher Lenarz has authored over a dozen peer-reviewed scientific articles and two book chapters. These are listed on the CV. He has continued to remain active in the academic community by actively participating in the education of peers. Additionally, he is a peer reviewer of scientific articles for two nationally published journals, The Journal of Shoulder and Elbow Surgery as well as Arthroscopy:The Journal of Arthroscopic and Related Surgery. He is also Board Certified by the American Board of Independent Medical Examiners.

Dr. Christopher Lenarz is a shoulder and elbow specialist who treats injured athletes, injured workers and the weekend warrior. He is a member of numerous academic societies including the American Academy of Orthopedics, Arthroscopy Association of North America, Saint Louis Orthopedic Society and the Missouri State Medical Society.
